Today I had the best experience ever at a hardware store. As I was about to give up on replacing my father-in-law's doorbell button that was broken, Cliff overheard the problem and stepped up.
He went more than the extra mile. Incredible service.
Everything a hardware store should be -- excellent selection, super service, super knowledgeable staff that not only takes you to the item you need, but helps you problem solve. I've been going there for 30+ years and will never go anywhere else.
He figured out a way to restore the antique button by saving the nice bronze flange but popping out the old broken button mechanism. He shined up the old one and found a new button that would fit.
Hardware store is very helpful in all you projects. Staff is friendly.
We began shopping at Thompsons Hardware when we first moved to Montclair in 1970. I loved that store.! Then it became American Royal when Roy and his dad took over the store.They have carried on the excellent customer service. Always helping to find exactly what you are looking for. Thank You Roy !
